A new interventional approach with implantation of a commercial available Valve prosthesis was developed to treat patient suffering from severe tricuspid regurgitation. To proof efficiacy of this technique we conducted a prospective randimized clinical trial (TRICAVAL). 28 patients could be included. First results show a trend towards symptomatic improvement in patients with implants compared with those on medical therapy.
