On April 16, 2024, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin honored current Deutschlandstipendium holders who were accepted into the program in the years 2020 to 2024 with a festive function at the lecture hall ruin of the Berlin Museum of Medical History. The event was filled with a celebratory atmosphere as the funders presented the students with their well-deserved certificates. Marie Hoffmann, General Manager at Stiftung Charité, had the privilege of personally handing out the certificates on behalf of the foundation. Stiftung Charité’s commitment to the program matching private and public funding is evident through its co-financing of approximately 40 scholarship positions each year, making it a longstanding and dedicated supporter of the Deutschlandstipendien initiative – and, in fact, the major sponsor of Deutschlandstipendien at Charité. Initiated by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in 2011, the program not only recognizes academic excellence but also takes social commitment and personal achievements into consideration.
