Deutschlandstipendien

The basic notion of the Deutschlandstipendium, introduced by the Federal Government in 2011, is to recognize outstanding achievements of highly involved students and jointly contribute to promoting tomorrow’s specialists.

The Deutschlandstipendium addresses students who have enrolled for a study program at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and are within the standard period of study. This also applies to international students. Stiftung Charité provides funding for up to 40 Deutschlandstipendium grant-holders a year from the funds of the Private Excellence Initiative Johanna Quandt. The grant-holders receive 300 EUR per month, half of which is paid by the Federal Government, while the other half is provided by a private sponsor.

The grants are posted centrally at Charité and awarded by its Junior Scientists Commission in a competitive procedure for one year at a time. The Selection Committee reviews the applications regarding the achievements demonstrated and the engagement of applicants in society.

Application forms and further information on the Deutschlandstipendium can be called up on the Charité Homepage (only available in German).
